Dalmia Cement Bharat Strengthens Regional Presence With ‘Chath Puja’ Celebrations In Bihar

Banjari, Oct XX, 2022: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited received an overwhelming response for its role in leading the Chath Puja celebrations in Bihar’s Rohtas, Aurangabad and Patna districts. Through its Rohtas Cement Works Unit (RCW (formerly called  DDSPL) situated in Banjari, South Bihar, Dalmia Cement partnered with local mason and contractor communities from the neighboring towns of Tilouthu and Nauhatta to adorn dealer stores, shops and eateries with thematic gate installations portraying the sun temple. The company also decorated the 35 km stretch route from the main town of Dehri On Sone to its RCW manufacturing unit and these include neighbouring districts. 

In addition, Dalmia Cement organised a devotee-led march all the way to the Surya Mandir site amidst fanfare and devotional music led by an innovatively designed vehicle called the ‘Surya Rath,’ with Dalmia DSP branding. Decorated in the form of a canter, the ‘Surya Rath’ was adorned keeping in mind the festivities and drew crowds with chants of पावन छठ का आया त्यौहार (Paavan Chhath ka aaya tyohar) and चलो सूर्य मंदिर के द्वार (Chalo Surya Mandir ke Dwar). 

Situated adjacent to Dalmia Cement’s RCW plant, the Surya Mandir is maintained by the company and is visited by thousands of people to offer prayers to the Sun God. The ghats of the river which is adjacent to the temple are also beautified by the Plant.
