Dalmia Cement Bharat Receives Multiple Awards for its Strong Commitment to Safety & Sustainability in Tamil Nadu

• Ariyalur and Dalmiapuram units win 17 prestigious prizes for environmental excellence, outstanding safety performance etc.

Trichy, November XX, 2022: Reinforcing its regional commitment, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a leading Indian cement major and a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, has garnered multiple awards from reputed industry, government and regulatory bodies for its Tamil Nadu manufacturing units in Dalmiapuram and Ariyalur. The organisation was particularly commended for its relentless efforts to enhance its safety and sustainability metrics across the region.

The company’s Ariyalur unit won the Platinum Award for Occupational Health and Safety at the Apex India Occupational Health & Safety Award 2022 organised by Apex India Foundation. Additionally, Dalmia Cement Bharat’s Amalgamated Perianagalur, Aminabad, and Khairulabad Mines of Dalmiapuram won the Overall Second Prize for Mining Safety Week 2022 in recognition for commitment to safety. The Ariyalur unit also bagged CII’s National Award for Energy Efficient Unit 2021-22: Energy Leader Award and Excellent in Energy Management Award and received the prestigious Green Champion Award 2021 by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Govt. for achieving environmental excellence and the lowest carbon footprint. The Dalmiapuram unit received CII’s National Award for Energy Efficient Unit 2021-22 for Energy Leadership Award.
