Cement Major’s manufacturing units in Meghalaya & Assam awarded over 35 honours across categories
Shillong, October XX, 2022: Reinforcing its regional commitment and leadership, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a leading Indian cement major and a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, has garnered multiple awards from reputed industry, government and regulatory bodies for its North East manufacturing units that include its East Jaintia Hills unit in Meghalaya as well as Guwahati Cement Works, Umrongso & Lanka manufacturing units in Assam.
Dalmia Cement Bharat’s Meghalaya manufacturing unit won the over all2nd Prize at the North East Metalliferous Mines Safety Week for the year 2021 while its talents won the 1st prize in the First Aid Competition, six awards in the Mines Inspection category, and a whopping nine individual prizes in different categories in trade test competition.

Dalmia Cement Bharat was commended for its relentless efforts to reduce emissions and enhance water positivity at the prestigious 22nd Annual Greentech Awards 2022 in Guwahati and was awarded the 'Environment Protection for Corporate' honour at the event. The Assam team was also honoured by the state GST Commissioner as ‘Assam's best tax compliant & revenue generation.’ Additionally, the Umrangso and Lanka units won Outstanding achievements in the ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ category from The Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) during its Energy Leadership & Energy Excellence 2021-22 event.
At the recent North East Metalliferous Mines Safety Week in Guwahati, Dalmia Cement Bharat’s Jamunanagar Limestone Mines of Umrangso, Assam was awarded the over all 1st Prize in for the year 2019-2020 and the over all 3rd Prize for the year 2020-2021. The Assam team also bagged a total of 13 individual prizes in various categories in trade test competition.
