Dalmia Bharat Foundation Unveils Three Social Infrastructure Projects in Ariyalur

Ariyalur, February 19, 2025: Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable rural development, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL), unveiled three key community infrastructures today in, Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu. These include a newly constructed Panchayat Office Building, a Girls’ Toilet Block, and a Cycle Shed at the Government High School in Palinganatham Panchayat, Thirumanur Block in Ariyalur District. Under DBF’s flagship Gram Parivartan Project, the initiatives aim to enhance local governance, improve education facilities, and create a more inclusive and resourceful environment for rural communities in the region. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Honourable Minister Mr. S. S. Sivasankar, Minister for Transport, Government of Tamil Nadu, along with other distinguished guests and community representatives.

The newly built Panchayat Office Building in Palinganatham Panchayat will serve as a vital hub for local administration, facilitating better governance and public service delivery. Furthering student welfare, the girls’ toilet block at the school will significantly improve sanitation and hygiene for students. The dedicated cycle shed will ensure safe and secure parking facilities for students commuting to school.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. K Vinayagamurthi, Executive Director and Unit Head - Dalmiapuram said, "At Dalmia Bharat, we believe that strong social infrastructure is fundamental to sustainable community development. Through these initiatives, we are addressing critical gaps in infrastructure to ensure that rural communities have access to essential resources. By strengthening local governance and providing a supportive learning environment, we are laying the groundwork for long-term growth and self-reliance.
