Chandrapur, October 22, 2024: Reaffirming its commitment to community well-being and sustainable rural development, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited(DCBL), successfully organized a two-day health camp in the villages of Antargaon and Sangoda, Chandrapur, on October 21 and 22. Over 300 villagers participated, availing themselves of free medical services, including blood pressure and sugar monitoring, dental checkups, and cancer screenings (oral, breast, and cervical). This initiative aligns with DBF's focus on prioritizing healthcare as a cornerstone of community development, ensuring timely and accessible medical care for those in need.
Villagers received expert consultation and treatment guidance from a dedicated team of medical professionals, including Dr. Salunkhe and five specialists from Tata Cancer Care Hospital, Chandrapur, Dr. Sanket Shende of PHC Nanda & staff, Taluka Health officer Dr. Swapnil Tembhe and Dr. Mohan Chaudhary from the Plant OHC. The event also saw active support from local leaders, the village sarpanch, gram panchayat members, and the Sakhiya Ladies Club from DCBL Chandrapur, along with the DCBL Chandrapur CSR team.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Smt. Sangeeta Devi, Assistant District Collector, who served as the Chief Guest, Mr. Ramawtar Sharma, Executive Director – Projects, DCBL, Mr. Padmanav Chakrabarty, Regional Manufacturing Head, North East, DCBL, Mr. Dhriti Thaosen, MAC, NCHAC, Smt.
