Dalmia Bharat Foundation Celebrated National Farmer’s Day in Cuttack

Cuttack, December 27, 2024: Marking the occasion of National Farmers Day, the Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL), concluded a two-day event on December 23 and 24 in Cuttack. The initiative was designed to empower local farmers through impactful programs focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and community development.

The event featured the distribution of 1 HP motor pumps to 60 vegetable farmers from Garudagaon, Uchapada, Paria, and Byree, aimed at improving irrigation practices. Discussions on agricultural reforms and farmer empowerment were also organized to facilitate knowledge sharing and productive dialogues. Additionally, a training program on kitchen gardening was conducted by senior scientists from Krushi Vigyan Kendra, Cuttack. The program benefitted 30 participants by providing practical skills to grow nutrient-rich produce. To further support sustainable farming, seeds, nets, and water cans were distributed to 200 beneficiaries, encouraging healthier food production at the household level.
