Code of Conduct

We believe in the Dalmia way of life, and this has a strong influence on our organisational culture, our values and belief system as well as the DNA framework that ties all our entities spread throughout the nation. We carefully crafted our organisational Code of Conduct (CoC) to enable our employees and other stakeholders experience our legacy, absorb our capabilities and understand how these guiding principles can be followed in their professional and personal life.

The guidelines in our CoC impart valuable learnings that have helped our organisation follow through on its business philosophy and organisational beliefs. It also teaches our people how to deal with others both within and outside Dalmia Bharat. We practice zero tolerance toward activities (both at work and out of work) that could dilute our reputation. We take strict action against anyone found guilty of financial fraud, corruption, non-adherence to listed values, sexual harassment and other anomalies.

Our organisational DNA absolutely discourages negativity at the workplace, discrimination, gossip mongering, and divisiveness, both within and outside Dalmia Bharat. Any such activities, if proven, can have a direct impact on the employee’s career growth plans.

Workplace conduct

Our policy on workplace conduct has been crafted to foster and engender trust. It develops confidence, integrity and professionalism among our employees. We expect employees to deliver their duties openly and ethically. And the workplace guidelines help understand the ways they can uphold the organizational values and exhibit the Dalmia DNA in their daily life. The guidelines enable employees to stand up against violators of the CoC. Workplace guidelines also help establish the SOP of tasks, which promotes a harmonious and productive atmosphere in the Workplace while maintaining discipline.

Non-workplace conduct

At Dalmia Bharat, we encourage our people to inculcate Dalmia values in their personal lives as well. We believe that this can help them grow as an individual and fulfil their duties towards society. We discourage our employees from indulging in any immoral or unethical practices outside work that would harm them or the organisation. The conduct guidelines also help employees manage their conflicts and encourage them to become a model citizen of not just our society but our nation as well.

We have an internal fair employment guideline, insider trading guideline, anti-fraud guideline, whistle-blower guideline and anti-harassment and discrimination guideline.

Ethics helpline

Our ethics helpline is a 24 hour toll free service for our employees and suppliers. It is also meant for those who would like to report acts or deeds not aligned to the interests of the Company or are in breach of any Company policy.

They can immediately report to the ethics helpline through either of the four routes given below:
